The Internet Vacancy Index (IVI) is the only publicly available source of detailed data on online vacancies covering around 350 occupations (at all skill levels) across States and Territories and 37 regions. The IVI is based on a count of online job advertisements newly lodged on SEEK, CareerOne and Australian JobSearch during the month.

The latest IVI show that the index is 10.1% higher than the level recorded a year ago. If you are thinking of working in Australia there could not be a better time. Job vacancies advertised on the internet now sits at the highest level seen in four years according to the Department of Employment’s chart below.
